Reports that he got an unknown actress knocked up then shirked on his duties as a partner and a father would do whatever progress has been made to change people's opinions a lot of damage. The only reason for why the US sites are not really picking this up is because they cannot get confirmation from the stars themselves. I would not be surprised if they soon do start asking questions about the baby because they still know that Colin still sells.

Whether or not the film is a Hollywood blockbuster or a minor independent film, the practises and underhanded tactics used in promotion don't really change! Faking a pregnancy is as easy as wearing a prop and tipping off the press. The way that the so-called 'confirmation' at TIFF was done was very clever. People magazine reported that the pregnancy was confirmed to them during the premiere at the TIFF. There is a video recording of this - so please understand I am not trying to accuse them of anything. But, what he actually said on the original recording is garbled, which is great from a legal and a PR point of view, because that creates what is called 'plausible deniability'. The star or whoever represents them can deny it later on, if need be.
I have 22 years of PR experience behind me just in case you are wondering.

However because that newer version is therefore altered, no courts can accept it. In a court case, recordings (at least where I come from) provided as the evidence must be the original, unaltered version.

If you have a PHD, you might like to try acting like it. It is totally irrevant how many recordings there are of one event. Yes they would all have recorded the same thing, that is not the issue. The issue is that cameras like the ones used in conferences like that rarely record the sound to a high enough standard for to survive the compression needed for broadcast to the Web. So they employ a sound engineer (someone like me) to master the sound for them. The bottom line is, the sound on the original is too bad for it to be used in the broadcast.

-No statement has been made because of the fact the child was born premature and the parents want to be sure their child is going to stay alive and is ok before they do so
-The parents attend a rock concert so they can just relax and be together for two houres

7:18, He's also a fallible human being who has been caught out lying before. Rome 2008 showed that he had been burned bad by the reaction to his then GF. Ever since then (with the exception of the Gay Byrne interview) he has been unwilling to share details on his personal life. He would not lie about a child that is a real, flesh and blood child, but a lie about a child who is not flesh and blood (ie: it's a fabrication) I doubt he would have any troubles with. Why should he? Under that circumstance, there is no child in existence to be hurt so there is no victim.

Someone mentioned that Danica and Claudine were there and I had not seen or heard of that, so I asked for the photos. I decided to check in every now and then to see what is happening. Ever since then, I have been genuinely shocked by the attitudes being displayed here. Whatever happened to respecting each other? Why do you persist in fighting with someone whose point of view you are never going to change? Why do you persecute them? Yes, on IMDB we do bash Alicja a fair bit. Believe it or not, it is not jealousy. None of us would ever trade places with her. We sure as hell don't want to be her. We do it because we feel, for our own reasons, that she is a bad person. We respect Colin as an actor, but we just feel that his personal choices sometimes leave something to be desired. We know that Colin is not going to pay any attention to us and our opinions and we are OK with that. Anyone there can say what they feel. Wow, this site is crazy over this baby thing. I was disappointed when I heard as well. But I felt sorry for her, she has trapped him and I feel bad for Colin, as the inevitable is going to happen, maybe in a few months or even a year. They will not be together for long. Not because Colin is a player, but because he is going to get sick of her, and will start hating her. I think he realises he has made a big mistake and trying to make the best of it, for ever long that lasts. Colin needs to get out of LA. People do need to calm down about the baby thing, although I havent heard any congratulations from Eamon or his husband Steven on Facebook yet, hope we get to see some pictures too!

I'M LOVING this! I am really loving how everyone is assuming that Alicja is the mother of Colin's next child! Think of this: at TIFF, Colin never mentioned her name, just that he was going to be a dad again. He also didn't say WHEN he was going to be a dad again. Where I come from someone saying 'I am going to be a parent again' does not mean that they are expecting a child right at that very moment. Also, Alicja got preg around Dec-January - at which time she had another BF in LA. Just ask her Mum.

The visual information that is stored usually takes up about 60-80% of the memory used, that leaves 40-20% of the memory used available for sound. We call that a raw recording. Have you ever listened to a raw recording? It is impossible to make out what anyone says - and a sound engineer has a well-developed sense of hearing!
2) To make the recording broacast ready for the web, they put it through a series of compressions to reduce the size if the file. This means information is lost. Now the video should be fine, but the sound is really going to suffer. So then they give it on to a sound engineer like to improve the sound quality. We do not change what is said. It then gets uploaded.
3) If the recording is ever required in court, in most courts, the original is the only one accepted, because the reproduced one has been altered. Even though what has been said has not been changed. It is inadmissable as evidence, and according to my wife, creates a situation for 'plausible deniability' as I think she called it.
Oh and thanx to the person who pointed out the PhD thing, I just dug my degree out and checked. It's lovely that some people here are that petty.

ReplyDeleteFor any kind of broadcast it's a different kettle of fish, 744. I had hell trying to get the sound on my video recordings to broadcast standard and I have a Sony Z1! The sound person wasn't cheap either - hit me for $60 an hour and it took two weeks! Ouch!

Ok, I can't resist. A PhD diploma from a recognized university has "Doctor of Philosophy" spelled out, not abbreviated. So there would be no point in consulting ones diploma, 8:30, (if one indeed actually had a PhD diploma) to look for the abbreviation of it. Also, I can't imagine someone spending 4-5 years working on a terminal degree and walking away not knowing the abbreviated spelling of said degree :)

The movie took about 2 months to complete its filming so the scenes that you see her in would not show the early signs of pregnancy unless you count the little pook below her belly button. The film began in the early fall. Alicja bachleda is actually married to an L.A play right writer. She had her baby in June. The pictures you see of Alicja and Colin at U2 concert are from a past time event that they went to. If you look closely at Colin's hair it's tied back in a pony tail. His hair was neatly cut at the TTIF (Toronto Film Festival)This month! Also his hair is brown in the photo, Whereas it is grey at the festival. Colin was seeing someone else before and after he met Alicja. The stories you read and hear are idiom's-expression, word or phrase whose sense means something different from what the words literally imply.."A Play On WORDS" ie) Colin can't wait to meet the little one- Alicja and Colin are friends and he is happy for her. And the lovely neckless I wore that Colin had on in the movie with the Tree of Hope and on the back it said Knowlege. "Knowledge for a dumb girl" ie Moi. We got into a little spat. He wants to share me with everyone and I faught for so long to not be...FEAR of everything! But I have come a Long way and I am almost ready.

Anyone who has Colin Farrell Living Dangerously the book by Jane Kelly..it says that his name is Colin Andrew Farrell and we all know that his name is Colin James Farrell. Or at least I do. We know how Tabloids can screw up stories especially when they out right mention that its from the Enquirer..Like Alicja "brother" keeps mentioning. The problem is American journalists see a Polish Press and they try to figure out what it says and they see Colin's name and they see Alicja's name and they automatically assume that it is saying that they are a couple. When really it says that they are costars. They miss that it has the word Fiancees and the name of her actual partner. And the stories begin to fly high.

I would think that most are aware that DNA does determine what you look like, and in the absence of a DNA test, a photo of the child would be the next best thing to determine parenthood. Most newborns look more like the father than the mother at first according to one of my ex-bf's science magazines.
My guess is that the sound tech and the PR people got tired of butting heads with idiots.

ReplyDeleteNot much I can say, except that just wait a little while longer. The truth will set us free. I'm leaving it up to Colin now. But its not like you'll believe him either. You wouldn't even know if you were talking to him to begin with. This blogging is nothing more than a serious head game to get our blood pumping and heart racing. So it does become humerous when someone is telling the truth but it is so far from the lie that no one believes it any way. You guys are seiously cool though. It's nice to see the networking community from all over having discussions and having fun. Luv ya: from way up north!
