WATCH OUT: COLIN IS COMING TO MAGAZINE COVER NEAR YOU SOON... ?!

Apparently, Colin (or at least a photo of him on the cover... and from years ago), is going to be the 'big pull' this month for a magazine called 'Speak Up'.  Who will presumably, do their best to give the impression of having done an up-to-date interview, but in reality it will probably be a collection of past quotes, and so therefore of  no real substance, apart from the odd ' snippet' of relevant information, given of course courtesy of Colin... via his management... as in not in person, but a phone call... basically telling us what we already know, and that they so want to convince us... yes, all is well in Colalicja World.

Oh I know guy's... I'm sorry, and I do apologise for my cynicism, and truly hope I'm proved wrong... but please: what are we meant to believe these days?! ; - )

Think about it, all this sudden... talk?  Clearly, this has been okay'd by Colin, his agent, and is so totally in keeping with his girlfriend's timely T.V. interview schedule on Sunday... that it's almost beyond predictable! 

Nobody, is given any info for 8 weeks... except for a perfect photo opportunity for two actors in Mexico, and now suddenly, we have an exclusive magazine cover; followed by an exclusive T.V. interview... and all way outside Colin Farrell's 'usual' line of public domain/leakage route of... erm... a story of exclusive?

Just can't help thinking... 'things that make you go 'umm'... ?!!!

On Sunday, December 6, Alicja... yes that's right Alicja, not Colin, is going to give an interview on 'Good Morning TVN' telling us about love, motherhood, and a career in Hollywood. 

Words almost fail me!  Colin cannot be bothered to issue any information to his long, and steadfast fans regarding his newborn son Henry, but Alicja can!?  What is going on people... what is going on Mr. Hollywood... talk about giving your girlfriend a free ride ... ?!

Clearly, Colin Farrell IS above and beyond the man he once was, and it's becoming more and more obvious that he has very little respect for his fans!  What a sad moment : - (

HAPPY TO BE HOME GUY'S... ?!

Colin and Alicja at the airport once again, returning home after spending the weekend in Cabo San Lucas.

WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE WORLD OF FARRELL THESE DAYS?!

Alicja Bachleda-Curus is certainly well and truly now putting her 'bikini' body on the map in Hollywood.  The beach photos of the new mother flaunting her post baby body in Mexico however, do appear to be sending out mixed messages if you read the various articles now posted all over the net.  Some seem in awe of her ability to lose her baby weight with such speed, some suggest surgery has taken place, others that a strict diet and exercise plan has been endured, while others believe newborn baby Henry, may have been premature, and so this must be the reason for her getting her figure back so quickly.

Whatever the reason for Alicja successfully managing to regain her figure... for her, for Colin, for work, or from sheer exhaustion... and it is exactly here, that those fabulous beach babe pics start to lose the wow factor.  Reading the 'headlines' and between the lines of all these articles (including mine), there brews a disturbing underlying cause for concern.  As in that uncomfortable feeling of disbelief along with an uncomprehended feeling of awkwardness.  In other words: how can a new mother who gave birth as so many have clearly stated, "JUST" seven weeks ago: want, and warrant what is rapidly becoming seen as a 'romantic' vacation... whether in Mexico, or indeed on the moon?! 
 

However, having said that, we of course don't actually know if the new parents do have the company of their newly seven week old son, and they are in no way prepared to declare one way, or the other, to us.  Why should they... they haven't felt the need to share him with the world so far?  And I think we could all reasonably understand and respect their wishes for wanting such privacy.  We may not have liked it, surely felt a little put out that they didn't want to involve us, but ultimately, we did 'understand'... but then... 'Hello Mexico'?!  No obvious, or even hinted signs of a baby in transit, and thus immediately giving the 'impression' of being 'just the two of us'.  Just the two of us with our new camera playing I spy with ourselves... just the two of us on the balcony in various states of undress... and now on the beach keeping it clearly discreet and private?!  Yes... evidently the much needed privacy to be left alone to enjoy those first precious months with your new bundle of baby joy has somehow, strangely lost it's credence.
 

I know Hollywood stars such as Colin Farrell have the right to their own life and one with privacy is and should be allowed too, but, and although 'he' may wish it to be meaningless, but, 'but' is in fact rather significant, for example if you make your living out of being in the public-eye then should you perhaps not also respect the 'right' of your public, or at the very least appear to be seen, or extending some degree of higher moral courtesy to those lessor mere mortals called fans?  You remember, yes those people who actually made it possible for you to be in the position you are, and in a career you once so yearned for and now find yourself...  as well as indeed one your good lady mama is also wishing to share and find a position of her own.  

I am a fan of Colin Farrell the actor, and I will, I suspect remain so for as long as he continues to want to be in front of a camera.  However, as a fan I also bought into the whole 'image persona' that was marketed as 'Colin Farrell', and that he encouraged, wanted, needed and completely courted us with in order to make it as an actor. He made it to Hollywood: we followed.  He had some massive ups, and then some costly downs: we stood by him.  And so now we have newly, reformed Colin: we have remained faithful... but has he?

Yes, we know Colin no longer wants us to regard him as the 'big' Hollywood actor that he once craved, however, he is still an actor is he not?  He still makes films, and if no-one at all went to see those films then what would be the point in him acting any more?  So we continue to stick to him like super glue, much to his ever growing discord it feels like nowadays.  So Colin does not 'need', or 'want' us any more... except of course until his next film premiere.  And his 'private life' he will now guard with balls of steel... except until he, or anyone who is his, needs a little exposure to gets things kick started in order to let the world know you're available for work.

Quite why, Colin has become so 'anti' fan these days is beyond me... he always claimed he was grateful to his fans, jestingly lapped it up, and more importantly genuinely appeared to appreciate the adulation, voiced his humbled acknowledgement at the privileges that came his way through the mega bucks and glittery trappings of fame, and accordingly expressed his thanks for being able to live in such a relatively safe environment, be a financially viable candidate, and enjoy the security of luxury that his career has allowed him.  So why he has now decided to enter into a withdrawal from the very ones who want nothing but good things for him, is as I say, beyond me.

There are a few sayings that comes to mind: Be careful what you wish for... it may come true.  Along with 'Don't bite the hand that feeds you' and finally... 'I don't recognise you, I've changed a lot'!

WILL COLIN MARRY ALICJA?

Rumours are popping up all over the web, debating whether Colin is now going to marry his pregnant girlfriend Alicja, due to being supposedly under pressure from Alicja's family to do the right thing. Personally, I don't think a pregnancy would make any difference either way, to Colin or Alicja; they are modern, self-sufficient, ambitious and determined individuals. One would hope if there were to be a marriage it would be because both of them are in 'love' and 'want' to be married as opposed to feeling they 'should' or 'have' to get married.

COLIN THE SONG WRITER... ?!

Branko Djuric, the famous actor, musician and leader of the band “Bombaj stampa”, is preparing a new album which will also include a song written by the Hollywood actor Colin Farrell. They have recently met in Toronto at the premiere of the film “Triage” directed by the Bosnian director Danis Tanovic.

“I know Colin well and I think that we have a great understanding of each other. He is an excellent actor and he is a nice person. In our conversation in Toronto he offered us a song that he wrote and we are honored because we are going to record it soon,” said Branko Djuric for the Daily Voice. Because of this song, they will have to postpone the release of the long-expected album and this is their first studio album after a 20-year-long pause.
“All songs from the album are my favorite, because they are honest. The audience will probably choose the songs “Vriska”, “Nedim” and “Nije nas bilo dugo”. As far as financial aspect is concerned, we did not make the record for money, but for pure enjoyment,” the popular Djura said.

COLIN'S TALKS ABOUT THE PREGNANCY...

I've just come across this article, and I have to say once again Colin appears to be very candid in his comments (if indeed the comments are correct). A couple of his response's did concern me slightly, but I know how it easy it to misread something or relate to it out of context. However, I think it certainly ties in with some of the tone of the comments that people have been making on the previous post: such as celebrities do indeed live in a different world... and money is not really an issue for them... and do they really care about the self-imagine they present to the rest of society?!

The Irish star, who has a six-year-old son named James with ex-girlfriend Kim Bordenave, confirmed this week he's expecting another child with Alicja Bachleda.

COLIN GETS SNAPPY....

Colin Farrell got into an angry confrontation with photographers at the premiere of his latest movie in Toronto today.

The actor took objection to requests from the press pen for his sister to leave the red carpet so that they had a clear shot of the star.

In a brief stand-off he went nose-to-nose with one photographer and remonstrated loudly before retaining his composure.

Farrell was in the Canadian city for the premiere of 'Triage', a film which investigates the psychological effects of war on a photo journalist in which he stars alongside Christopher Lee and Paz Vega in the movie.

He arrived at the Elgin Theatre amid boisterous shouting from the press pen.

Photographers implored the actor's entourage to 'get off the carpet', prompting the angry scene.

He approached London-based Joe Alvarez who was among those shouting at those accompanying the star.

Mr Alvarez said: 'With celebs you get a lot of hangers-on, PRs, everyone and their wives surrounding the stars and we are limited for space.

'I was just saying, 'please can everyone clear the carpet, move on'.

COLIN FARRELL FREAKED OUT BY CRAZY FAN?

According to the UK newspaper website 'The Mirror', Colin Farrell was freaked out by a crazy woman whilst on set filming... (I'm assuming London Boulevard).

Extract:

But one female fan freaked out Col, 33, by sneaking past security on the set of his new movie, and jumping in his backseat.

We hear: "This woman came from nowhere and tried to jump in the car while they were shooting a scene. Colin went crazy and started screaming like someone had shot him. He was shouting at the girl to keep away. It really freaked him out."

I'm not quite sure as to how true this story is, being as you can't always believe what you read in the paper etc. But then again it could well be true, but... how shall we say... ever so slightly over exaggerated?! ; - )

FARRELL ROLLIN AROUND LONDON...

Seems like Colin caused quite stir when seen driving in London, and not just with his fans, but also with the Rolls-Royce enthusiasts' club too!

This particular model has been referred to in the past as the ‘Chinese Eye’ model due to its headlamp arrangement (well I did not know that... how about you?)

According to the RREC’s Julian Spencer the drophead coupes are the widely considered to be the most desirable and due to the small numbers, they are also quite valuable.

A bit of digging around found a white version of Farrell’s model was auctioned off at a Monaco sale in May.

The 1966 model, with 52,000 miles on the clock, was the last ‘Chinese Eye’ built and had two owners in its history. It sold for €159,734 (around £140,000).

So I wonder who the very rich, and trusting owner of this black version is... and indeed how much they got paid to let Colin loose behind the wheel! ; - ) LOL

Well now I've heard it all! According to a survey in the 'Belfast Telegraph', Colin has been voted the 'best fantasy father'!

Colin Farrell may be most famous for his drunken exploits and party-loving nature -- but almost a quarter of Irish women think he would make the best father for their children. A hefty 23pc of respondents to a recent survey chose the actor when asked who they would pick as a fantasy father.

At this rate it wouldn't surprise me if we found soon that Colin had been voted the people's choice for the next Pope... or maybe that really is taking things to the extreme... or is it?! ; - )

FARRELL TO REPLACE DEPP IN 'DON QUIXOTE' MOIVE?

According to Contact Music, Colin may be about to replace to Johnny Depp in the movie 'Don Quixote', about a Spanish literary hero, directed by Terry Gilliam. Johnny has pulled out due to scheduling conflicts... whatever that means?!

I'm not sure whether this really is the case as it was my belief that this a film both Gilliam and Depp have been wanting, and waiting to make for a number of years now. So it will interesting to see what happens.

This is an amusing story. A survey by Tampax Pearl in Ireland, has discovered Colin is the perfect weekend date... I can't believe they only want him just for the weekend?! LOL

The survey, commissioned by new Tampax Pearl, of young Irish women aged 18-30 is part of a campaign launched by the girl band, The Saturdays. The ‘My Weekend My Way’ campaign sees the five sassy young women share secrets about their own ultimate weekend. Over 500 Irish women took part in the survey commissioned by New Tampax Pearl.

Romance is high on the list of priorities for Irish girls: 44pc of Irish girls surveyed agreed their dream weekend would be a surprise trip to Paris with their boyfriend. Colin Farrell is still the reigning Irish heartthrob with 29pc of women voting him as their dream date.

LONDON BOULEVARD TITBIT NEWS....

HOLLYWOOD bad boy Colin Farrell and Pushing Daisies star Anna Friel are filming in a legendary East End café today. Oscar winning script writer William Monahan is making his directorial debut with the movie London Boulevard and he also adapted Ken Bruen's best-selling novel for the film. Mr Monahan picked family-run Italian café E Pellicci on Bethnal Green Road to film a lunch meeting between Colin Farrell and Anna Friel's characters. The popular café recently stood in for a Liverpool diner from the 50s for a movie featuring English Patient star Kristin Scott Thomas about the early life of John Lennon called Nowhere Man. Mr Monahan told the Advertiser: "You will be able to see the interior of the café in the film, which is a crime romance and will be coming out next year." It's the tale of a London crimal newly released from prison who is played by Farrell, who becomes involved with an enigmatic actress.

Pellicci's was a popular haunt with East End gangsters the Kray Twins who lived just round the corner in Vallance Road. Mr Monahan won the Oscar in 2007 for his script for The Departed also filmed at the First Choice café just a few doors down Bethnal Green Road.
