COLIN TO ATTEND CHARITY EVENING TO SUPPORT 'ANGELMAN SYNDROME'

Actor Colin Farrell and American Idol Songwriter Regie Hamm help raise funds for The Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics (FAST) at Chicago event

EXTRACT:

... FAST, The Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics, will host an "Evening with the Stars" on Saturday, December 5, 2009 to benefit research toward a cure for the rare neurological disorder, Angelman Syndrome (AS). Gala attendees are set to include actor and Golden Globe Winner Colin Farrell and singer/songwriter Regie Hamm, both of whom have been touched by AS through the diagnoses of their children. Hamm, who won the 2008 American Idol Songwriter competition, will also perform his hit, "Time of My Life," which became a smash hit single for Idol winner David Cook.

An evening of fun and entertainment, attendees will enjoy a cocktail reception, four-course dinner, dancing and silent auction; sponsored in part by FAST corporate sponsors LexisNexis and Innovative Mag-Drive. The proceeds raised throughout the night will be donated for research dedicated to finding a cure for Angelman Syndrome, a disorder that is often misdiagnosed as autism, cerebral palsy and/or mental retardation.

"We are excited about the progress we've made in helping to find a cure for Angelman Syndrome," said Paula Evans, founder and chairperson of FAST. "Because this disease is so often misdiagnosed, it's important for us to raise awareness and funds to continue the great strides we've already achieved. We hope to surpass last year's success with yet another fantastic evening."

"The families involved with FAST have created a strong support network while tirelessly assisting those dedicated to finding a cure. I'm extremely proud to support such an inspiring organization," said Farrell.

FAST is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to finding a cure for Angelman Syndrome and related disorders through the funding of an aggressive research agenda, education and advocacy. Our goal is to provide adequate research funding and a rapid grant review process to enable progress towards a cure for Angelman Syndrome in the most efficient way possible.

WILL COLIN MARRY ALICJA?

Rumours are popping up all over the web, debating whether Colin is now going to marry his pregnant girlfriend Alicja, due to being supposedly under pressure from Alicja's family to do the right thing. Personally, I don't think a pregnancy would make any difference either way, to Colin or Alicja; they are modern, self-sufficient, ambitious and determined individuals. One would hope if there were to be a marriage it would be because both of them are in 'love' and 'want' to be married as opposed to feeling they 'should' or 'have' to get married.

EXTRACT: Some of those people include Alicja’s family, who have been putting the pressure on Colin to do the right thing and marry Alicja. It doesn’t sound to me like they’re pressuring him, but they have different old-fashioned values and want them to settle down. A source said, “Alicja’s parents in Poland met Colin and liked him a lot. But they’re old-fashioned.” Whether or not Colin’s going to go through with it, the source added, “He’s crazy about Alicja, but he’s quite happy being single.”

COLIN THE SONG WRITER... ?!

Branko Djuric, the famous actor, musician and leader of the band “Bombaj stampa”, is preparing a new album which will also include a song written by the Hollywood actor Colin Farrell. They have recently met in Toronto at the premiere of the film “Triage” directed by the Bosnian director Danis Tanovic.

“I know Colin well and I think that we have a great understanding of each other. He is an excellent actor and he is a nice person. In our conversation in Toronto he offered us a song that he wrote and we are honored because we are going to record it soon,” said Branko Djuric for the Daily Voice. Because of this song, they will have to postpone the release of the long-expected album and this is their first studio album after a 20-year-long pause.
“All songs from the album are my favorite, because they are honest. The audience will probably choose the songs “Vriska”, “Nedim” and “Nije nas bilo dugo”. As far as financial aspect is concerned, we did not make the record for money, but for pure enjoyment,” the popular Djura said.

COLIN'S TALKS ABOUT THE PREGNANCY...

I've just come across this article, and I have to say once again Colin appears to be very candid in his comments (if indeed the comments are correct). A couple of his response's did concern me slightly, but I know how it easy it to misread something or relate to it out of context. However, I think it certainly ties in with some of the tone of the comments that people have been making on the previous post: such as celebrities do indeed live in a different world... and money is not really an issue for them... and do they really care about the self-imagine they present to the rest of society?!

"I'm so excited for the little one to arrive. I'm not going any further past the point of arrival," he said.

ARTICLE BY THE PRESS ASSOCIATION:

Colin Farrell has said that he feels secure bringing a new life into modern society.

At a Q&A session in Toronto, the Irish actor said he doesn't think the world is any more dangerous now than it has been throughout history.

As to his own philosophy on fatherhood, the 33-year-old appeared to be taking things in his stride: "Just do your best and hopefully it will be alright," he said.

Early this week it was confirmed that Colin's girlfriend, polish actress Alicja Bachleda was expecting a child - Farrell's second.

The baby is due early next year, and it appears the Irish actor can't wait.

"I'm so excited for the little one to arrive. I'm not going any further past the point of arrival," he said.

As to the society the child will be born into, Colin seems unconcerned over reports of rising violence.

"I think the world has always been an incredibly dangerous place," he said.

But he added that his little part of it was relatively safe.

QUOTE: UNQUOTE... IS THIS THE REACTION OF A GUILTY MAN?!

Here are are two rather interesting, and strangely revealing article's: one by Metronews, Canadian Press, and the other by TheStar.com.

Have a read and see what you think?

EXTRACT ONE:
Colin Farrell says he's "excited about meeting the little one."

The Irish star, who has a six-year-old son named James with ex-girlfriend Kim Bordenave, confirmed this week he's expecting another child with Alicja Bachleda.

She's the Polish actress who co-stars with Farrell in "Ondine," which is screening at the Toronto International Film Festival.
The two met on the set of the film, in which Farrell plays a fisherman who thinks he's caught a mermaid (Bachleda) in his nets.

But when asked at a press conference Tuesday when the relationship started to develop, Farrell was tight-lipped.

"I was with somebody else while we were shooting the film ... next question," he said.

Still, Farrell said Tuesday that Toronto has "always been good" to him.

"A very generous crowd here, like really supportive," said Farrell,
who has been at the festival several times before and premiered his first international movie, "Tigerland," in the city.

"You don't feel the daggers in the pockets at all. They might still be here but you don't feel them."

EXTRACT TWO:
Farrell said he tries to get home to Dublin three times a year, and takes his son home at least once a year so he can hear an Irish accent from more than just his father.

The majority of the questions went over well, save for one asking about when Farrell felt his relationship developing with his now-pregnant co-star, Alicja Bachleda...

"You could have gone somewhere with that question, but your worded it wrongly," chided Farrell.

"I was with somebody else when we were shooting ... next question."

PAPA FARRELL... GETS READY FOR BABY NO.2

“Yeah, I’m going to be a father again,” Farrell, 33, confirms to PEOPLE at the premiere of Ondine at the Toronto Film Festival. “I’m very excited man! Very! There is nothing more exciting really.”

He says he’s even ready to start changing dirty diapers when asked what he’s looking forward to the most.

“Everything. The whole thing,” he says. “I will take it as it comes. Even changing dirty diapers.”

IS THIS CONFIRMATION COLIN IS AT LEAST HAPPY?!

Here's an article from the Heral.ie Dublin written by Patricia Danaher.

EXTRACT:

Colin Farrell put his run-in with a photographer behind him and relaxed to enjoy what was billed as The Big Irish Party at the Toronto International Film Festival.

The actor, who is starring in three major movies at the moment, looked relaxed and cheerful as he arrived with a small entourage to the party hosted by Jameson and the Irish Film Board.

Farrell had strong words with a photographer for shouting at his sister Claudine to get out of the way as he walked the red carpet at the premiere of one of his movies, Triage, on Saturday night.

But Farrell, who was the biggest Irish movie star in Toronto at the weekend -- as well as Triage, he's in Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus, and Neil Jordan's Ondine -- was in the best of form as he arrived at the party.

The new love of his life, fellow Ondine co-star Alicja Bachleda-Curus, who is rumoured to be pregnant with Colin's baby was not at the party. But she is expected at the premiere alongside Colin in Toronto tonight. It is rumoured they have moved in together at his house in Los Angeles.

"Listen, things are going great. What can I tell you?" is as direct as he got when questioned about his private life as he went into the first party the Irish Film Board has hosted at the Toronto festival.

Director Neil Jordan, who arrived late at the party, said it was "inevitable" that Colin and Alicja would get together, given the on-screen chemistry he witnessed on the set between the two on-screen lovers.

"There was a real erotic pull going on there," said Jordan.

Brendan Gleeson, meanwhile, was in gregarious mood when he arrived. The In Bruges star was reunited with Farrell in Triage and on a high over taking his first stab as a director with the forthcoming screen adaptation of At Swim Two Birds. He said:

"I decided I might as well start off with an easy one.

"I've been such a fan of Myles na Gopaleen since I was about 17 and I can't wait to get my teeth into it.

"But tonight is Colin's night. He's the big star here."

Sam Neil joked that he'd brought his Irish passport to get in. He has just directed two new movies and -- like many in Toronto this week -- is looking for distribution for his work.

Personally I do have a little reservation over the full accuracy of this article as some of the comments appear to be older quotes from the previous week or so, but that's not to say Colin didn't say what he did either?!

PREGNANCY CONFIRMATION... ?

The CFWB is NOT 'claiming' this confirmation is true... but these web-sites on the world wide web do appear to be confident enough within their claim the information they have is true.

All I'm saying is... Remember: I'm only relaying what is already out there! In other words, please don't shoot the messenger ; - )

COLIN GETS SNAPPY....

Colin Farrell got into an angry confrontation with photographers at the premiere of his latest movie in Toronto today.

The actor took objection to requests from the press pen for his sister to leave the red carpet so that they had a clear shot of the star.

In a brief stand-off he went nose-to-nose with one photographer and remonstrated loudly before retaining his composure.

Farrell was in the Canadian city for the premiere of 'Triage', a film which investigates the psychological effects of war on a photo journalist in which he stars alongside Christopher Lee and Paz Vega in the movie.

He arrived at the Elgin Theatre amid boisterous shouting from the press pen.

Photographers implored the actor's entourage to 'get off the carpet', prompting the angry scene.

He approached London-based Joe Alvarez who was among those shouting at those accompanying the star.

Mr Alvarez said: 'With celebs you get a lot of hangers-on, PRs, everyone and their wives surrounding the stars and we are limited for space.

'I was just saying, 'please can everyone clear the carpet, move on'.

'He took it personal. He said, 'Do not shout at my sister like that, do not ever speak to my sister like that ever'.'

The confrontation quickly passed, with Farrell returning to his film promotion duties before taking his seat in the auditorium.

Speaking minutes after the incident, he said that studying photojournalists had not affected his views in regards to showbiz photographers.

He said: 'It is completely separate. I wouldn't ever compare, comparison is a dangerous business.'

COLIN FARRELL ROMANCED ALICJA WHILE FILMING 'ONDINE'

QUOTE:

Moviemaker Neil Jordan is far from surprised Colin Farrell and Alicja Bachleda-curus, the stars of his new movie Ondine, have become a real-life couple - because their chemistry onset was electric.

Irish actor Farrell plays a fisherman who nets himself a woman he thinks is a mermaid in the fairytale, which will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in Canada later this month, a
nd now reports suggest he's dating his love interest in the film. And Jordan admits he witnessed the romance blossoming.

He tells Entertainment Weekly magazine, "There was a real erotic pull going on there." Recent reports suggest the Polish actress could already be pregnant with Farrell's second child after she was photographed sporting what looked like a baby bump. The Irish actor has been dating Bachleda-Curus since splitting from writer Emma Forrest in February.
