ReplyDeleteHe is disappointing and immature. One can have an impression that he is 14 not 34 - completely irresponsible guy. I feel sorry for his kids. Kids need responsible and reliable fathers. It's extremely important for kids (but not his fans, of course).

ReplyDeleteAnonymous, we have all had our opinions on colins various relationships. Obviously you have a great fondness for one of his exgirlfriends or are one. Reality is, no colin is not your typical father nor can he be with the career he has chosen. That does not mean he is not a good father, his face glows when he speaks of his children and that says a lot.

ReplyDeleteHis last three "serious" relationships had the damsel in distress factor. He's with MM a short time and her ex hangs himself. Colin stays by her side, showering her with affection, taking her on trips and then suddenly she's out. Then Emma. They're together a short time and the mean girls at IMDB make her feel bad enough about herself she makes him read the nasty comments and does a very crazy strip thing at a religious club all the while, I suspect, mentioning she feels she might have to hurt herself. He rescues her for as long as he can stand it. He's with ABC for a very short time and voila she gets pregnant and he sticks around doing all the right things until the scowl appears to be a permanent facial feature. Do you see? In each of the last three relationships, at the getting-to-know-you phase he got caught up in some kind of abnormal drama. This doesn't make him a bad guy, but it is off. I blame Rita. I know. You all love mum, but I have a sinking feeling she laid a little too much oh poor me on the lad during mum & dad's divorce and he got stuck with wounded chick syndrome. Just saying.
The last normal fling he had was with Lake Bell. The met on set, had fun, broke up and there was no baby and no tell all. I hope he finds more like her.

He's 34 years old ffs,he definately needs to grow up,be more responsible and independent. Rita and his siblings need to pull back and let him live his own life.

NSAM, I think you're being a little tiny bit hard on Colin. Me thinks what you consider irresponsibility and immaturity in relationships is more a deep desire to take care of people but he chooses needy people and gets worn out. My brother is this way. He loves riding into a situation on the white horse then weeks later he's exhausted. Maybe Colin wanting to "knock up" every woman he goes out with twice means he's realized he needs to take care of people and is going with babies instead of pathetic women?
Colin tries, but he always end up finding out those girls are with him for wrong reasons. - money and fame. It is known MM said she was out to get him because she wanted the jet set life. I don't have to explain ef's love for money, when she marvels on the sight of a walk in closet!!! And ABC is an educated woman , she decided to get preg deliberately. And she broke up with him when he refused to take her to the oscars.The proof is 2 or 3 weeks later he bought her a house to live. Don't fool yourselves, he goes out with Claudine for disguise , but he is chasing some girl working on the cast of “O”.

NSAM, I think he just enjoys Claudine's company. It's not impossible his sister is his best friend. By get lucky, I meant it would be good for him to have a relationship with someone who has her life together and won't be clinging to him like a wetsuit. Maybe I'm wrong but I think the Cirque performers are kept pretty busy and have to actually BE talented as opposed to mediocre writers and actresses who need him to get their mugs in the tabloids, which seems to be EF's goal in life. I disagree about ABC, but that's just me. Who knows - he is crazy to be asking any of these women to have babies and maybe he did do the I'd rather die than not get you knocked up thing with her but she seems like the sort who would get pregnant as a means of attaching herself to a more famous actor. Colin became serious about MM after the infortunate suicide of her ex. She used his good heart well. But every scheme , eventually wears out. And the show he saw with her was LOVE,beatles songs , another show, wasn't it?

Yea captain obvious. He is a known womanizer so why the hello would any woman (ABC) have a child with him if she wasn't out to get a check and her mug in the tabloids?
