Rumours are popping up all over the web, debating whether Colin is now going to marry his pregnant girlfriend Alicja, due to being supposedly under pressure from Alicja's family to do the right thing. Personally, I don't think a pregnancy would make any difference either way, to Colin or Alicja; they are modern, self-sufficient, ambitious and determined individuals. ReplyDeleteI always think that there's some truth in every gossip so MAYBE I repeat maybe there's gonna be a wedding ( WOW) but I doubt that, and I don't really think that pregnanacy will be a reason, it's not C style and from what I know about A I would be surprised if she pressure him on that and this parents thing... you know we don't really know if it's true and even if it is it doesn't change a thing.

While his recent comments are about the baby being born, I don't think he's mentioned her at all. While it's possible that they're madly in love, I wouldn't think it's likely, based on his non-mention of her.

ReplyDeleteThere are any number of reasons as to why she was not at TIFF. Maybe she really didn't want to fly in her condition (however far along she is, we don't know). May the movie producers thought her being there would completely take focus off the movie. Maybe CF or ABC or both felt the questions would be too pointed with them both being there. Maybe she really was sick. I remember reading something that CF supposedly said "she really wishes she could be here but she's sick." Sounded like a load of crap to me, and I never saw any video coverage of him actually saying that, but who knows. Who the heck knows. Do we even know the supposed house purchase in Krakow really happened? We don't. It's all internet gossip. The only thing we know is that she's pregnant and she wasn't at TIFF. It is strange that she wasn't there. Plenty of actresses have flown the globe and attended premiers and events sporting bumps much larger than hers. So maybe something is up, or maybe she's just nervous about the pregnancy. I don't think we're going to see any answers to these questions any time soon.

ReplyDelete10:10 I don't think he's following in the footsteps of Johnny Depp. I don't think this has anything to do with Johnny Depp. Or anyone else. CF is his own person. Johnny Depp has two kids, from the same mother with whom he's been in a committed relationship for over ten years. How can you possibly compare the two?
ReplyDeleteIf ya ask me, if photos are any indication, I don't think ANY woman will ever be able to compete with Colin's mom and sisters. And I DON'T mean that in any kind of creepy dirty way. I just think he's probably one of *those* guys... no one will ever hold a candle to mom and sis. A mommy's boy. I think it might be why he has so much respect for women and at the same time, none.
LOL not that I have any right to psychoanalyze the guy. I'm just saying it kinda seems like he's a mommy's boy. And they make for miserable husbands, believe me I know that! So she'll probably be much happier in the long run if marriage does not enter into the equation, which I doubt it will anyway.

ReplyDeleteI've just saw chat with Jordan which is posted in video section and when interviewer said that they should name child after him he said that they can name it Jordan ;P I know it's stupid and doesn't tell a thing but maybe Neil knows that Neil is not the best name for a girl?:P

Everyone suddenly seems eager to say nothing was going on during filming. Hm. Seems rather scripted to me. It looks to me Colin is trying to assure someone nothing was going on during filming. Why would he bother unless it mattered a great deal to him? Hope the poor boy isn't having regrets over the one he lost or gave up over Alicja. That would be terribly sad, wouldn't it?
ReplyDeleteI agree, it all seems rather scripted. But I don't think it's about trying to reassure EF that nothing happened while they were still dating. It's about trying to reassure the fans and potential audience for this movie that his new improved squeaky clean image is still intact. And sorry to drag the Polanski conversation into this, but I just have to: at least CF never raped a 13 year old girl. And so far he's not on the Hollywood "let him get away with it" bandwagon either, like all of the directors he's working with are. So, as was said earlier, perspective is everything.
ReplyDeleteIt seems much more personal to me than the Polanski scandal. Neil Jordan did sign the petition to free the child rapist but that was after this interview. The fact he involved himself in the Polanski scandal shows me Jordan isn't concerned about a squeaky clean image. So his comments about Colin and Alicja not hooking up during filming don't seem to be about protecting the image of the film as if that would matter anyway. It seems more that a timeline for the relationship is being established and why else would that be, unless they or Colin wanted it known that he didn't cheat.

She implied it was about him to variety interview and when confronted , took it back and said many lovely things about colin. Now put yourself in colin's place. ReplyDeleteEF has said publicly the script draws from several of her relationships. It is not a juicy nasty tell-all about Colin. It just happened to be written soon after they stopped seeing each other. Repeating something over and over doesn't make it true.

He is a young single man. When he puts a ring on some lucky girl it will be wrong for him to see other people til then he's free to do as he pleases. That, coupled with the way CF responded to that reporter when she tried to ask him a question in the press conference, would lead a logical person to conclude that he DID have something to hide. Namely, cheating on his prior girlfriend. Therefore, with regards of EF's film script Liars (A-E), I said that IF he had nothing to hide, THEN he would have nothing to fear regarding it. However (I'm going to spell this out now), I DO THINK HE CHEATED. And if so, it's not a crime against humanity. Obviously. Just be willing to take the heat for your actions.

Ok. You're sure he cheated on Emma. I'm not sure how you know this but ok. It makes no sense for her to lie about what the movie is about when her lie will be discovered when the movie comes out. That is why I believe she is telling the truth about her script. I don't know if he was seeing Emma and Alicja at the same time or not, but my point is he wouldn't be cheating necessarily if he was unless he made a promise. I don't see any sign of him comitting to either of them. He seemed to date Emma for several months mostly long distance but they weren't living together so I don't get how seeing anyone else is cheating the way I think of cheating. If he started seeing someone or several others now I wouldn't call it cheating on Alicja either unless he's married her or become engaged or otherwise comitted to being only with her. Just because one person wants to be the only one doesn't IMHO obligate the other person until he or she is ready to take the step. And no Alicja getting pregnant two weeks into a relationship doesn't mean he has to be faithful to her. It means he has a responsibility to the baby and that's all. PS I'm NEVER sarcastic ;)

Ok 7:08 Colin jumping all over the reporter in the press conference with "I was WITH SOMEONE ELSE at the time" tells me the relationship was exclusive... as MOST "relationships" are. No, of course I don't know FOR SURE that he cheated because I wasn't in bed with him/her/them.

Apparently you and I have a different definition of "relationship" and "cheating." So be it.

It makes perfect sense to me. It's called, not getting sued. You do realize she's not the first person to write a film script about a specific person and/or specific events and deny (for reasons of self preservation) that the film is about what it IS about, knowing full well that intelligent people will KNOW what the film is about - do you? Whether it is or it isn't REALLY about him, as I said, if he did nothing wrong then he has nothing to fear.
Why is it so difficult for people to separate their fanaticism from their objectivity? I like the guy. I think he's got so much good in him, he does a lot of really wonderful things, he's a humanitarian in many ways. That shouldn't mean I cannot be a logical person and also conclude that 1) he has faults and 2) when everyone surrounding the movie makes a point of making sure to mention that there was nothing going on during filming WHILE HE WAS WITH SOMEONE ELSE, that the opposite is likely true. It doesn't make him a horrible person. I'm not saying that. I'm saying there is no need to paint ANY of these people as supremely flawless. They are not.
Why am I even bothering with this? He's frickin celebrity. Who the hell cares?
I don't think EF and CF relationship was exclusive,he haven't even thanked her after he won Golden Globe.Remember Alicja was also in 2 year relationship,if he admitted he cheated with her,that also make her look like a cheater.I think him being defensive with a reporter is about their image.Maybe her more then his.As for him sticking with the baby mama,for sure make him look like an angel.Just look at Tom Brady, he was with Bridget Moynahan for a couple of years,when she got pregnant he choosed to stay with Gisele,or Jude Law not even seeing his daughter after she was born.
